The Game Rules are an addition to the general Terms & Conditions. In case of a ban or to check what is allowed and what is not, you should also consult the general Terms & Conditions, especially Section §7.

Trying to circumvent the game rules will be handled as a violation of the game rules and punished accordingly. All game rules still apply to players wanting to delete their account or in the process of deleting their account.

• §1. Account
  
  
  
  
  • §1.1 Each player may only own and play one account per game world. An account must always be played for its own benefit. A name change of an account can only be made up to a total population of 100 or if the name is in violation of the rules.
  
  
  
  • §1.2 The owner of an account is the one whose email address is associated with the account. If you want to change the associated email address, you can do so in your account (Profile -> Account) under the option "change email address". In cases of reasonable doubt, Multihunters are allowed to ask for a verification of the email address of the account to ensure they are speaking to the account owner. No member of Travian Games staff will ever ask for your password.
  
  
  
  • §1.3 Passing on the account password is not permitted except in the case of "dual accounts", which are permitted as long as none of the players involved either owns or plays another account on the same game world. If a player wishes to move from one account to another, then (as applicable) the ownership of the first account must be transferred, the account deleted, or the password changed BEFORE access is granted to the new account or a new account is created.
    
    Accounts that are connected via the sitter function or are being played from the same computer may not have the same password. Travian does not compensate an account owner for any damages done to the account by a person who has received the account’s password.

• §2. Sitting and using the same pc
  • §2.1 Every player can set up to two sitters who may play the account during an owner's absence. Sitters must play the account they are sitting to the account’s full benefit. Abuse of this function is punishable. The sitter of an account must sit the account using the account sitting function in game. The sitter of an account may not tend to an account by logging on with the password of the account they are sitting.
    
    Travian does not offer compensation for damages done by a sitter. The account owner is fully responsible for the actions of any sitters on their account. Should a sitter violate the rules or General Terms and Conditions of Travian, both the account owner and the sitter may be punished.
  
  
  
  • §2.2 Sitting an account without the owner logging into their account is only possible for a maximum of 21 days.
  
  
  
  • §2.3 Players that share a pc and want to access each other’s accounts may do so using the sitter function only.

• §3. Use of externals
  
  Travian must be played with an unmodified browser. Using scripts and/or bots to automate actions on the account is illegal.
  

• §4. Programme errors
  
  Errors in the game may not be used to an account’s benefit. Abuse of any error is punishable.
  

• §5. Selling of an account
  
  The selling of an account, resources, units, villages or services is illegal. Accounts may not be put given away in exchange for money.
  

• §6. Netiquette
  
  English is the only officially tolerated language.
  Players must always communicate in a polite manner. Inappropriate profiles, village names and hero’s names may be edited by Multihunters without warning.
  
  Alliances with inappropriate names and/or non-English content in their public forum may be deleted on sight.
  
  The following behaviour is punishable:
  
  
  • Abusive, defamatory, sexist, racist or profane language; adverse behavior towards any religion, race, nation, gender, age group, or sexual orientation; real life threats. The game shall be kept free of real world politics. Posting and displaying material not suitable for minors is forbidden. Blackmailing players into violating the rules or general T&C’s (e.g. asking for their password) is not allowed. Full battle reports where attacker and defender can be identified as well as in game messages may only be published with the consent of both parties. This also applies to publishing in game messages or emails to or from Travian staff.
    
    
  • Impersonating Travian staff or official positions within the company is not allowed.
    
    
  • Advertisements of any kind are not permitted.

• §7. Punishments
  
  In cases of a violation of the rules or the Terms and Conditions an account will be banned and might be released with a punishment according to the violation that occurred. Any losses during the time of a ban, including Plus accounts and gold will not be replaced by Travian. Every player is treated equally, regardless of their gold status.
  
  A ban may only be discussed with Multihunters via in-game messages or an email may be send to the Administrator if a player is unhappy with a Multihunter’s decision. Bans, deletions and their consequences are not to be publically discussed. The Travian Team does not give out information about bans to other persons than the person(s) involved.
  
  Multiaccounts on the speed server and multiaccounts with a population lower than 100 may be deleted without a ban/warning.

• §8. Rule changes and correction clause
  
  Travian reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
  If individual regulations of the rules should be ineffective or void, the validity of the remaining regulations are not affected.
  The Administrators commit themselves to replace ineffective regulations with new regulations as fast as possible.
